Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen, Indeed!
Happy Easter everyone! It has been a glorious day to celebrate our Risen Christ. We went to our old church this morning and had an in-filling of the Holy Spirit. We absolutely LOVE our old church and this morning was wonderful. The sermon was very relevant to my life, almost as if God was speaking directly to me. We got to see more friends and I had one take a family picture. You can't see but my new pants have really cute brown and turquoise pin stripes, love them!We had a yummy lunch with my parents and then hit the road. We listened to the UT game and the Memphis game and I think Joseph almost had a heart attack with both. Doesn't matter because both teams are going on to the Sweet Sixteen! It's starting to look like a rematch for the National Championship! :) The drive was fine until we got into SL County and it started snowing. Yes, SNOWING! This is what we saw once we got home:
Lovely! Hopefully this is ALL we will get. I am sick and tired of the cold. Besides my new outfit is for WARM weather!
I guess I should backtrack and tell y'all about the earlier part of our weekend. We went to the Easter Egg Hunt at church on Friday and it was such a nice day. I'm a total dork and forgot my camera for most of the weekend so we don't have any pictures to show you. We left the hunt early so we could watch the UT game, GO VOLS! Friday night we went over to Rob and Adrienne's house and watch the Memphis game. Memphis kicked butt in the game so we really just talked and played with their boys. Their boys are so adorable and the oldest, Brian, is hilarious.
Saturday we woke up early and went to the PRAY Walk. There was a good turnout and I got to see a lot of different people, including her, her, her, and her. I even saw some old co-workers I wasn't expecting to see! After the walk we went home and took a nap and then my mom took me shopping. Then we had dinner with my parents' friends and it was nice to catch up with them. After dinner we went to a party at her house and had a great time! It was a Stock the Bar party (kinda like a housewarming) and we bought them a mason jar of moon shine. How funny is that?
Well, that's our whole weekend! Now it's back to the daily grind. But, I think I will have a smile on my face this week!

I Just Had to Say
I just had to take a moment and tell y'all another reason why my husband is so awesome. I was checking my eyelids for holes and eavesdropped on my mom and Joseph. My mom was telling Joseph all about the trip she just took to DC. She researched some genealogy at the National Archives while my sister went to a conference. Apparently Joseph and I might be distantly related since my mom found some info about our families together in Tennessee. Kinda funny! Joseph listened the whole time and asked relevant questions and even helped her read some of the documents she found. Joseph had the basketball games on and my mom started asking questions about the game and the tournament. He answered all of her questions and as I drifted off to sleep I was smiling. I love that Joseph has such a great relationship with my family. I am very blessed! :)
Oh yea, GO VOLS! They won the first round today!

Back in the Motherland!
I am currently sitting on my parents' coach watching the first round of the NCAA tournament! So nice to be back in the Motherland!
We left SL and traveled through a lot of the flooded areas in MO. The water was really close to the interstate in many places, a little scary! Hopefully the waters won't rise much more so we can get back on Sunday. Our neighborhood is not dealing with any flooding so the kitties should be safe while we are gone.
We have a busy weekend planned!
We are going to the Easter Egg Hunt at our old church tomorrow morning. Then the UT game starts at 11:15, go VOLS! We get a free oil change from where we bought my car so an appointment is scheduled at 1:00. Then we are getting Layla's yearly shots at our old vet at 3:00. I know we are supposed to register her in SL County but shots up there are MORE THAN TWICE as much. Absolutely ridiculous! I think as long as she is current on her shots everything will be fine. Friday evening we are going to Robert and Adrienne's house to play with the boys and watch the Memphis game, go Tigers!
Saturday, we are meeting my friends bright and early for the PRAY For A Cure Walk. I am excited to see everyone and contribute in a small way to Stephanie's foundation. That afternoon my mom is taking me shopping for a few new things. I'm right between the clothes I have. They either fall off of me or too tight still. I am down 30 lbs now! Now that the weather is getting nicer I am going to start walking with Layla in the afternoons. Hopefully that will help keep the weight loss going! Saturday night some of my parents' friends who are also our friends are coming over for dinner.
Sunday we have church and a yummy lunch then it's back on the road. Check back Sunday or Monday for lots of pictures!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I absolutely love St. Patrick's Day! I am cooking a super yummy meal tonight and our friends Kevin and Julie are coming over for dinner. I probably need to go to the grocery store to get the ingredients! Except I'm waiting for the HAIL to pass. Don't forget that I'm on Spring Break so why is there HAIL? The weather is SO JACKED UP here! SL officially takes the title for most screwed up weather over Memphis any day. On that note I leave you with my favorite Irish Blessings!
*****************************************************************
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
*****************************************************************
Christ be with me
Christ before me
Christ behind me
Christ in me
Christ beneath me
Christ above me
Christ on my right
Christ on my left
Christ where I lie
Christ where I sit
Christ where I arise
Christ in the heart of every man
who thinks of me
Christ in the mouth of every man
who speaks of me
Christ in every eye that sees me
Christ in every ear that hears me
Salvation is of the Lord.
*****************************************************************
May your blessings outnumber
The Shamrocks that grow
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
